Important Dates Coming Up
Written by DeZ

Image Just a few reminders for everyone...

Our next Mini-Combz is coming up this Friday (3/17/06) and will begin at 7:00pm at the Eldorado Community Center. We will be accepting payment for Catacombz 6.0 at this event , if you wish to do so.

Next, there are approximately 3 weeks left in the registration period for Catacombz 6.0, and as stated on the sign-up information, we will begin enforcing our new payment policy at this event. Put simply, anyone wishing to attend that has not signed up and paid by the 4/2/06 will be charged $25 (instead of $20) for admission into the event. However, if you will be unable to pay by the that time, please contact us and perhaps we can work out something with you.

Finally, Catacombz 6.0 is rapidly approaching. We are now less than a month away, and it's really looking up to be a great event. At the time of this writing, there are already 32 people signed up, with a large handful of others that are still considering it. Plus, we still have some regulars and semi-regulars who haven't signed up yet. So, why wait? Sign up now!

Small Site Update
Written by DeZ
Tuesday, 07 March 2006
Image Some of you may notice that I've given the site a very small facelift. It's nothing too drastic, but I feel it works well. There are still a few other changes coming in the near future, so if you see a few bugs here and there, they are to be expected.

In the meantime, enjoy the changes...and sign up for Catacombz 6.0!

Sorry, had to plug the event. It couldn't be helped.

Mini-Combz Report - 1/27/06
Written by DeZ
Sunday, 29 January 2006
Image Mini-Combz was this weekend, and we had one hell of a turn-out. We never got an exact head count, but we had somewhere between 30-35 people in attendance. Plus, many of those were new faces.

The general set of games were played. We saw some CoD and CoD2 action, a few heated and very intense matches of Warcraft 3, some Counter-Strike, World of Warcraft, and I believe there were even a few matches of AoE3 thrown in. Also, some of us jumped into some F.E.A.R. muliplayer for the first time...and it rocked!

The next Mini-Combz will be on February 24. Also, we will be opening registration for Catacombz 6.0 at this event. We would immensely appreciate registration and payment at this event so we can plan Catacombz accordingly.

I guess that's all for now. Oh...one last thing. Did you hurt the guy?? LOL! (inside joke)

See you at the next event!

So, be there at 7pm at the Eldorado Community Center for another great night of gaming!

Mini-Combz Recap - 12/30/05
Written by DeZ
Tuesday, 03 January 2006
Image Well, we ended the year with a blast with our last mini-combz of 2005. Call of Duty 1 & 2 dominated the night with it's TDM and CTF maps, along with a few heated games of Warcraft 3.

So, what can we expect in 2006? We have Catacombz 6 and 7 coming up this year, and hopefully we'll continue to see some growth in our numbers. The next Mini-Combz will be on January 27, which is a little over 3 weeks away. So, hopefully we'll see you there!

New IRC Server Online
Written by DeZ
Saturday, 03 December 2005
Image If anyone has been looking for us on Undernet lately, well...you problably haven't found us. We have switched away from the netsplit-ridden Undernet server to one that is much more stable....

OUR OWN!

That's right, thanks to G0dFath3r, we are now online with IRC.Catacombz.com. It's stable, fast, and NO NET SPLITS!

So come on into channel #catacombz and hang with us. If you have any comments or questions, someone is usually there to help. However, if nobody happens to answer you right away, just be patient.

Mini-Combz Report & Other Nuggets of Info
Written by DeZ
Monday, 21 November 2005
Image Greetings and Salutations! Or to put it more simply....werd.

The latest Mini-Combz was this past Friday, November 18th, and it rocked as usual. There were a lot of newer games played, as well as a few that, until this night, had not seen the light of day at a Catacombz or Mini-Combz event. Some of the games played were, Call of Duty 2, World of Warcraft, Age of Empires 3, Quake 4 (briefly), and a handful of others. Of course, there were helpings of both CoD1 and Counter-Strike as well.

Attendance is still holding strong with around 21 at this event, but we need more people!! So, for any "regulars" reading this, start recruiting! If you are reading this and have been trying to decide if you want to attend or not, get in here! We welcome all newcomers, and can comfortably hold well over 50 people at this location, and more people means more enjoyment for everyone.

The next Mini-Combz is currently scheduled for December 30, 2005. However, this could potentially change due to the holiday season. I'll keep updated information posted here, so watch this page to find out the latest news for upcoming events. We'll also have the tentative 2006 calendar online soon, so watch for that as well.

I've started a new thread in the forums, and I would like your input. Check it out. In a nutshell, what would you like to see changed/added to this site to make it more useful to you?

That's all for now...laterz.
