Local college students get fragged

Image Several people wrote in saying that SouthEastern Illinois College, is about to begin offerring a Network PC Gaming course, begginning June 9'th. The class has nearly sold out already, and interest is high. In an interview with the instructor who is to be teaching this class, Scott Reed couldn't have imagined this much interest being generated in Southern Illinois.

Installing and running games on different linux distro's and how to organize a large gaming event are two of the topics to be covered, said Reed. Having scheduled this initial class to take place after business hours may have played a part in filling it so quickly.

With Catacombz v3.0 gathering steam and a projected launch date of late september, this might be just the time to frag us some graduates!

DgN Lowers the drawbridge for Geeks

Image Meteoroligist were wrong again. Mistaking the recent breeze as a storm front moving through the area. When in fact, it was caused by all the Propeller Heads over at DgN cooking up the new "DgN Garage" feature.

DgN has it's fair share of geeks, and we're proud of it! So, in an attempt to let their creativity gather world-wide peer review, and show off some of the things we've done; The "DgN Garage" was born!

The "DgN Garage" block in the top right corner of the main page will be advertising the latest Garage review in a Top Story context. Want to see your name up in lights? This may be as close as some of us get. :)

What can you expect to see? The sky is the limit, but linux based software configurations and unique hardware hacks are just a few things being planned. On the other hand, if you have something worth showing off, and are currently in between reliable web serving mediums. Feel free to drop us a line, so we can post your review.

Note: Modding your sister's barbie doll? Another unfortunate side-effect of hunger.

Image Looking for something new to do on Friday nights? Tired of the same old Xbox & Playstation 2 games? Have you beat everyone in your neighborhood and need new blood? If this sounds strangely familiar, then pack up your gear and head on over to Dungeon Inc.

Located in Eldorado IL, Dungeon Inc is a full service PC gaming clinic. Complete with lessons in humiliation, eating crow & biting your tongue. We began network gaming in 1996 and are Southern Illinois oldest/largest long running clan. Membership openings are rare, so dont miss out on this exciting opportunity to sport an official DgN jersey!

Note: All your base..

Where have all the good games gone?

Image It's 2AM on Friday night. A time when battles are usually raging in the garage that doubles as Dungeon Inc. Instead, a handful of DgN core members are packing their gear and heading for the hills. What's to blame? A complete lack of LAN party worthy games!

With Unreal Tournament, released last century, still topping the DgN playing charts. Something very wrong is blipping on the radar! We've all read about it on slashdot and other Gaming Industry Rags. There aren't any good Multi player games coming out. Everyone seems to be switching their focus to MMORPG. Will the developers wise up when they realize the market isn't there? Probably not. Will they be smart enough to realize that the future of MMORPG lies in selling a clan server package that can be hosted locally? Definately Not! So where does that leave us? Looking for a few good games! Anyone up for a match of multiplayer Snood?

Note: Here's a new buzzword for you MMLRPG the L = LAN.

Image Hey all you Dungeon Inc. members, don't download The Matrix Reloaded Yet! Your ticket has already been purchased! Thats right, The_Spider has generously donated $50.00 to Dungeon Inc. for a group viewing of the new Matrix blockbuster! We will be making a special trip to Evansville's Stadium-16 for a wonderful, and more importantly, movie supporting venture!
