StarCraft II
Written by G0dFath3r

Image Long ago in the 0sD.. many a night was spent in a brutal contest of StarCraft. The battles were intense to say the least, with alliances being formed and then broken during every match. Only the quick survived.. Now, once again, it will soon be time to bear arms as those cheeky bastards over at BliZZarD, are once again poised to liberate a few coins from our collective pockets when they release: StarCraft II - Very good cinematics!

Mini-Combz & Misc Info

Our last Mini-Combz event was last Friday. Attendance was down a little bit, due to several regular members being unable to attend. We tried adding a couple of new games to our regular mix. The first being Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory, which went over fairly well I think. The second was Delta Force: Black Hawk Down, which didn't have as many trying it out. I think both would become worthy additions to our regular gamelist if we can get a few supporters for them.

Speaking of game variety and whatnot, I'd like to remind everyone to please voice your opinion in our forums. We do want everyone to have a good time at our events, so if there is anything we can to improve, please let us know. There is currently a thread about Catacombz 8.0 in the "Upcoming Events" section of our forums.

Registration is progressing nicely for Catacombz 8.0, as we are almost to our halfway point. If you haven't registered yet, but do plan on attending, please do so as soon as possible. Also, spread the word to your friends about us. Let's see if we can't max this event out.

That's about all for now. See you at Catacombz!

Hey people...

Sorry it has taken me so long to post this, but my life has been a bit busy these days. Yours truly is now a father! My baby girl was born on March 24, 2007.

The next Mini-Combz is scheduled for April 27, 2007 and will be held, as usual, at the Eldorado Community Center. Setup will begin around 6:00pm, with gaming set to kick off by 7:00pm.

Also, keep watching the site in the coming days for information to be posted on Catacombz 8.0. It's right around the corner, and I'll have the official event dates posted soon. Registration will also officially open very soon.

See you at Mini-Combz!

Mini-Combz Recap!!

Saturday, 03 March 2007
Image Ahh....it's good to be back!

Mini-Combz has seemingly been a little in the slumps for a couple of months with attendence on the decline, but last night, we returned to our full glory. I believe the final head count was somewhere around 23-25. We had a couple of new faces, some faces that we hadn't seen in a while, and plenty of regulars to hand out the regular dose of virtual beatings.

Surprisingly, Call of Duty didn't make much of an appearance at this event. The games that ruled the night were Warcraft 3 (both Panda Tag and 3 Corridors), Desert Combat (OLD SCHOOL!), and Age of Empires 2. As usual there were other games played as well, but these seemed to be the primary ones that received the most attention. Also, a couple of our attendees brought their Nintendo Wii's with them, and we set them up on a projector on the main wall. It added a pretty fun way to pass the time between PC games.

Ok, now the part that I've been dreading.

Friday was this poster's 30th birthday, and several of my family members and perhaps even a few event regulars (*cough* g0dfath3r *cough*) set me up for a red face. It seems they decided to hire a stripper for me. No, not that kind of stripper. Instead, it was one of my family members all dressed up for the role. So, as I sacrifce my pride at the expense of your entertainment, I present the pics from that particular encounter:

All things considered, I think it's safe to say we all had a hell of a time. Our next event is scheduled for March 30, so make sure to be there to get in on the action!

Laterz!

Image Hey everyone...

The holidays were a bit hectic for some of us, but things should be back on track now.

Our next Mini-Combz event will be held on January 26, 2007 at 7:00pm at the Eldorado Community Center. Sometime in the coming weeks, we'll also get a 2007 schedule of events posted here on the site.

So, Happy New Year everyone! Let's make 2007 another successful year for Catacombz events!

December 29th Mini-Combz is BACK ON!
Written by DeZ
Wednesday, 27 December 2006
Image Hey guys...

Jester has stepped up and will be available to run the Mini-Combz event this weekend, so it is back on!

Please pass this information along to whoever you know that was going to attend so we can keep attendance levels up. I know it's short notice, but it's unexpected for us, too.

So, just to reiterate, the Mini-Combz that was scheduled for this Friday, December 29, is still going to happen.

December 29th Mini-Combz Cancelled
Written by DeZ
Tuesday, 26 December 2006
Image Hey everyone....

Sorry for the late notice, but it appears that we have to cancel the upcoming Mini-Combz event. Neither d0c, myself, or anyone else will be available to run it. Plus, there are other events coinciding on that date that could interfere with attendance.

Hopefully we should be back on track for our January event.

Next Mini-Combz - Date Change!
Written by DeZ
Tuesday, 14 November 2006
Image This is just a quick note to inform everyone that there is NOT a Mini-Combz event this Friday. It has been moved to Friday, December 1. Someone else already had the Community Center reserved this weekend, so we had to make this change.

Please check back with the site to get the latest information on the event currently scheduled for December 29. If there are any further changes to be made, they will be posted here.
